AHEPA 

Yesterday, May 18, Supreme President Phillip T. Frangos traveled to Birmingham Alabama to present an award on behalf of AHEPA to the mayor of Birmingham for the role he played in supporting the Selma March 50 years ago.

 

On that occasion Archbishop Iakovos of North and South America stood side by dide with Martin Luther King Jr to support equal rights for all races. The anniversay of the march was commemorated on March 8th nationwide. Visit the main AHEPA website for more details.

 

Frangos also visited several AHEPA chapters in the south on his way there and home. He had lunch with several AHEPANS from the Mother Lodge Chapter at Athens Pizza in Atlanta today, Tuesday, May 19th.
