     The next bag assembly & distribution date will be held next Saturday, November 28th in the Kartos Ballroom in conjunction with preparation for the Soup Kitchen. Please take the time to assist with this great ministry. Bring your donations to the Shelf in Carlos Hall during office hours next week or on the day of assembly!

What is Bags of Love?

 

     "Bags of love" is our mobile ministry to the needy and homeless. Each bag will be filled with non-perishable food and supplies desperately needed by the homeless and less fortunate. Parishioners are invited to donate and help to assemble the bags of love. Once completed, bags can be picked up in Carlos Hall. Keeping a bag of love in your car will allow you to immediately provide nourishment to a needy person that you encounter by simply giving them the bag.

What Can I Donate to Bags of Love?

 

• Meat or poultry soups that are fully cooked and in "easy open" containers

• Meal replacement bars (power bar, cliff bar, etc.)

• Snack packs

• Individually wrapped (pretzels, crackers, etc.)

• Dried fruit, nuts, trail mix, apple sauce, or fruit cups individually wrapped

• Socks (men's' large size)

• Toilet paper

• Travel size toiletry items (shampoo, soap)

• Sports drinks (Powerade, Gatorade, etc.) 20 oz. bottles or smaller
